DescriptionLocation: positions available at both Woburn and Westford locations
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8am to 4pm - 40 hours/week
About the Job: To assist the program participants work in the community in an appropriate community work situation and/or work in the in-house program.
Education/Experience Requirements: BA in relevant field; previous behavioral experience preferred. Two years related experience may be substituted in lieu of degree.
Essential Skills: The ability to provide the program participants with an adult role model, provide encouragement and direction, crisis intervention when necessary, consistent implementation of behavioral programming, encouragement to attend on-sites, and training of work skills and habits. To be in attendance every day and be able to deal with all staff and the diverse constituencies of NuPath in a polite and respectful manner. The person in this position mustbe able to verbally communicate, read and write in English, visually monitor the safety of all individuals and verbally present updates on individual status. Must adhere to all NuPath policy and procedures.
Physical Demands: Must have the physical ability to stand frequently during the day, engage in repeated stooping or bending at the waist and be able to go up and down stairs several times during the shift. Must be able to safely support, pivot, physically move or assist a person weighing up to 200 lbs. during Activities of Daily Living, with or without assistance. Must be able to physically ensure the safety of all individuals in the program by safely participating in established behavioral interventions.
